Plantation shutters are the one window covering that becomes part of the house. They are custom-built, fitted directly to your window frame, and hinge open like small interior doors, while the louvres tilt for exactly the light and privacy you want. In Brampton they are a popular choice for front-facing windows, formal living and dining rooms, and new builds where homeowners want a finished, built-in look from day one. Want the full range first? How Plantation Shutters Work
Light Mode
Tilt the louvres open and daylight streams in between each slat while you keep a partial view out. No lifting or lowering. Swing the panels fully open when you want the whole window.
Privacy Mode
Close the louvres and the louvres overlap for privacy from the street and the neighbours. A split tilt rod lets you open the top for light while the bottom stays closed.
01 · Most Popular
Panels cover the whole window, top to bottom. Clean, symmetrical and right for almost any room. Add a split tilt rod to control the upper and lower louvres separately.
02 · Street-Facing Rooms
Two independent sets of panels, one on top and one below, each on its own hinges. Open the top for light and keep the bottom closed for street-level privacy.
03 · Kitchens & Dining
Shutters on the lower half of the window only. The top stays open to the sky for maximum daylight, with privacy at seated and standing eye level.
04 · Bedrooms & Feature Windows
Panels with no louvres for complete privacy and a bold architectural look. Often used in bedrooms and on narrow decorative windows.
Built for Brampton Windows
Front-facing windows set the look of your home from the street. Shutters give every front window the same clean, built-in finish, and tier-on-tier panels keep street-level privacy on close-set lots without closing off the light.
New builds are the ideal time to add shutters. They are measured to your finished window frames, so booking around your possession date means they go up close to move-in instead of months of bare glass. See our new-build window covering guide for room-by-room advice.
Kitchens, bathrooms and laundry rooms need a finish that handles steam and splashes. Faux wood shutters are moisture-resistant and warp-proof, so they look the same in an ensuite as they do in the living room.
Bay and arched windows are built to their exact shape. No off-the-shelf sizing.
Newer homes with large front and great-room windows. Full-height shutters give the whole front a consistent finish.
Larger detached homes with formal living and dining rooms, where real wood shutters suit the setting.
Street-facing windows on close lots. Tier-on-tier panels keep privacy below and light above.
New construction across the area. We measure every window in one visit, before or after possession.
Bigger homes with feature windows, including bay and arched shapes built to fit.
Family homes where durable, easy-to-clean shutters stand up to everyday life.
Established homes getting an upgrade. Shutters replace tired blinds with a permanent finish.
Older and character homes, where solid-panel and painted wood shutters fit the style.
“Shutters are the only window covering that becomes part of your home.”
Choose Your Material
Basswood or paulownia, painted or stained. The warmest, most traditional finish for living rooms, dining rooms and bedrooms.
PVC composite that looks like painted wood but is moisture-resistant and warp-proof. The best choice for kitchens, bathrooms and laundry rooms, at a more accessible price.
A durable option for spaces that need it. Ask about it at your consultation.
Typically from 63 mm to 114 mm. Wider louvres give a bigger view and a more modern look; narrower louvres suit smaller windows and traditional rooms.

How It Works
Shutters can't be sized with a tape measure alone. We check each window's frame, reveal depth and trim so the panels, frame and hinges fit perfectly, and you see real wood and faux wood samples in your own light.
Every shutter is built to the exact dimensions of your windows, in the style, louvre size and finish you chose. No off-the-shelf sizing.
Our own team installs every panel level, aligned and adjusted, then cleans up. No subcontractors.

Choose faux wood for kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms and any humid space. It is moisture-resistant and won't warp. Choose real wood for living rooms, dining rooms and bedrooms where you want the warmth of natural wood or a stained finish. Many homes use both, and we bring samples of each so you can compare them in your own light. See also our wood and faux wood collection.
Yes. Every shutter is built to the exact dimensions and shape of your window, including bay windows, arched windows and unusually sized openings. We measure them in person at your consultation.
Shutters are one of the few window coverings treated as a permanent feature of the home, like built-in cabinetry, and many buyers see them as an upgrade. They also last far longer than fabric window coverings, so they are a good fit if you plan to stay in your home for years.
Louvres typically range from 63 mm to 114 mm. Wider louvres give a more open view and a modern look on large windows; narrower louvres suit smaller windows and more traditional rooms. We bring samples so you can see the difference on your own windows.
